Inventory Planning - Hub+National - x2 Turns, 98%+ Availability
The client is a global leader in water treatment. It supplies to more than 27 countries. We created an inventory planning system for replenishing a central hub and national inventories. The distribution network developed rapidly via acquisition, each with their own ERP and codes. Product changes, NPI and new markets added every cycle. Replenishment orders are now generated at the click of a button. The client was able to double inventory turns from 3 to 6 with only 2 stockouts in 2 years.
Pharma NPI - 40% reduction in cycle - Global Centre of Excellence
The client is a global pharma company. The site was intended for high-vol commercial production, but had to pivot to high-mix, including early-stage products. The New Product Introduction process is a complex interaction between Ops, PM, SCM, Quality and Engineering. The NPI process was highly variable, with overwork and an average duration of 20+ weeks. We redesigned the process to 12 weeks. The site is now Centre of Excellence for NPI and a World Economic Forum Lighthouse Manufacturer.
Capacity Planning - Short Lead-Time, 5 Plants
The client is with a producer of building products. They supply large units to construction sites on a short lead-time with a machine-intensive production. Sales need to make sound promises to customers. Manufacturing needs to ensure capacity to meet them. Machines have long changeovers. No standard times existed. We built a capacity planning system that looks at total demand in SAP and creates a plan for five plants in four states. Everyone has visibility on daily load and capacity.
